Dyonne Anderson is a Githabul woman from the Far North Coast of NSW. She has been a classroom teacher, consultant, curriculum advisor and school principal. She is passionate about improving educational outcomes for Aboriginal students and developing genuine partnerships with the community. Dyonne was appointed principal at Cabbage Tree Island PS in 2005 and has been the president of the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Principals Association (NATSIPA) since 2012.

The National Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Principals Association aims:

To be the foremost representative voice of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander school principals adding value to the national education agenda.
